Job Description
Sure Steel, Inc is a growing steel erection company that has been in business 20
years. We build commercial and industrial projects throughout the United States. Sure Steel has an immediate opening for an experienced Controller.
The right individual must have a thorough knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
The ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
Supervisory experience. Willing to recruit, train, supervise and evaluate department staff.
Ensure compliance with local, state and federal tax reporting requirements.
Must have intermediate to advanced experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook or similar programs. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of major accounting software packages for both general ledger and statutory accounting.
Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.
Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team and take on new tasks with a high level of difficulty.
Bachelors or Master s degree in Accounting required.
Minimum of 6 years progressive experience, public accounting experience a plus.
Salary will depend on experience.
