This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) Enlisted position.
Air Reserve Technicians (ARTs) are part of the regular civil service and enjoy all the benefits granted to Federal employees in the competitive civil service. In addition, ARTs are required to maintain active membership in an Air Force Reserve unit so long as they occupy Air Reserve Technician positions. As members of reserve units, ARTs receive on average one weekend of military training per month. In addition, they are eligible for 15 days active duty tour each year for which military leave is granted with full civilian pay. Air Reserve units and members are subject to immediate call to active duty in mobilization to meet a national emergency.

Military AFSC and grade: 3D171/TSgt (E-6) Must meet and maintain Air Force Reserve requirements Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs will not be paid The primary purpose of this position is to serve as Air Resrerve Technician (ART) in the performance of mobility/war-time readiness support operations including planning, coordinating, and/or evaluating the unit's ability to support a specified mission. Work duties include reviewing war plans, the technical completeness of assigned deployable electronic equipment, identifying logistical support requirements, and ensuring those requirements are identified in program contingency/mobility plans. The incumbent of this position also provide training to reservists in the accomplishment of tasks set forth herein. Incumbent of this position will perform the following duties:
Manage all deployable and fixed base communications equipment to ensure each tasked component is technically and operationally ready to meet USAF tasked missions.
Develop, prepare, coordinate, and consolidate annexes for deployable and fix based communications operational plans.
Determine, coordinate, and validate the provision of all logistical support required for deployable communications/mobility missions.
Plan, develop, direct, monitor, and conduct all mobility training for the unit to include mission systems training.
Serve as the Equipment Custodian Officer (ECO) for Automated Data Processing Equipment (A DPE) in AFRC units at designated tenant location, resdistributing and replacing IT assets among users as needed in support of requirements.
You must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or qualifying pay band under other pay systems in the Federal Service which has given you the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities as shown below required to successfully perform the duties of the position. Expereince which provides a throrough knowledge of Telecommunications Specialist duties. (To be creditable, specialized experience must meet the above quality level requirements).
(1) Knowledge of wide variety of telecommunications and computer systems, concepts, principles, practices, applications, and interoperability of communications-computer systems (C-CS). (2) Ability to plan, organize, manage and evaluate C-CS maintenance, operational activities (e.g., deployable communication operational plans and equipment issues). (3) Ability to conduct, schedule, coordinate, and assess unit training. (4) Ability to resolve technical problems involving telecommunications/computer systems.
Substitution of Education for
Experience: A Master's or equivalent graduate degree (LL.B. or J.D.) or 2 full academic years of progressively higher level graduate education.

Position may or will require incumbent to: ( 1) May be required to fly in military and/or commercial aircraft in the performance of temporary duty (TDY) assignments. ( 2) This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position. The incumbent is required to meet and maintain Air Force Reserve requirements. Incumbent's regular assignments are primarily ART duties: however, the incumbent may be assigned some non-ART duties, generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities. (3) This is a drug testing designated position; the incumbent is subject to random drug testing for drug use. (4) Information Assurance Certification is a condition of employment. The incumbent of this position must achieve the appropriate IA certification within six months of assignment of these duties. A waiver of this six month requiter may be granted per DoD 8570.1-M, or Failure to receive the proper IA certification may result in removal from this position. (5) May be required to work uncommon tour of duty. (6) Must obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
